The SunRing Solstice Observatory - Spring 2024 Equinox

March 19, 2024

The morning before Spring Equinox - Picture taken at 7:03 AM Pacific Daylight Time

I missed the exact moment of the sunrise. As can be seen the sun rose roughly equidistant between the Winter and Summer solstice lines.

On the Winter Solstice Line going to the right are three of the four disintegrating Circular Sun Shadow Casters . They were made out of wood and didn't withstand the winter rains. These will be re-made and painted to resist moisture.

Spring Equinox occured just after midnight after this picture was taken. My attempt to take a picture on March 20, the day of Spring Equinox was cancelled due to thick fog.
