This is the 71st Custom Puzzle Craft wooden jigsaw puzzle to be offered in my ongoing 100 Puzzles Project of almost-monthly auctions.

This puzzle, Balboa Park Sky, features a digital photograph I took of the sky over Balboa Park, San Diego, looking East on September 1, 2007.

The photo of the puzzle does not show the nice colors and resolution of the image in the puzzle in detail. The original photograph, taken by me, was worked by me in Photoshop to enhance the contrast of the cool looking clouds while maintaining the contrast of the foreground trees.

Sunday 7:38 pm - Auction launched. The rest of the website will be updated to reflect the current auction later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Yesterday I did not do any cutting; today I left for the shop early and in three work sessions completed #754, Balboa Park Sky. I decided to do a denser cut and ended up cutting the puzzle with "regular sized" pieces, with a total of around 225 pieces instead of the posted 100. Cutting went well and the puzzle looks good. I'll have the final piece count went I launch the auction - something I'll be doing within the next hour or so.

Friday 6:23 pm - I did just a little work today, cutting the border of #754, Balboa Park Sky, this month's eBay puzzle. I plan to cut the puzzle tomorrow and launch the auction on Sunday. After this puzzle is completed I'm going to investigate cutting the clear plastic sheet I received from a potential customer.

Thursday 11:36 pm - Today I printed the image for #755, Balboa Park Sky and then mounted all of the prints for puzzles #751 through #755. All mounts went well.

Monday 5:06 pm - I spent quite a bit of time deciding what to do for the next eBay puzzle (100 Puzzles Project #71). I wanted the image to be one of my own photos, but struggled quite a bit finding something I liked enough to use as a puzzle. I finally decided on a sky image I shot over Balboa Park last month. I did a lot of work in Photoshop to greatly increase the contrast of the too-bright sky to bring out some interesting clouds without overly affecting the rest of the image. This puzzle will be around 13" wide and 6 1/2" high with just 100 pieces or so, in Swirl Curl style. This image is also now ready for printing.
