This custom made wooden jigsaw puzzle features a picture of the "Dome" of the San Diego State University Library. This particular puzzle is a "demo puzzle" for use by a consultant who specializes in group development programs for personnel.

Normally I request that the customer provide the graphics for stylized text and logos. In this case, I was working under a short deadline and wasn't able to obtain the files for the "San Diego State University" and "SDSU" text images. I went to the campus and purchased a college notebook at their bookstore, scanned the cover and then spent a lot of time hand tweaking the text obtained from scanned image. The background photo and logo in the lower left were provided by the SDSU Library staff.

The cutting style is my standard Large Piece Mixed Curl for this type of puzzle, with direct interlocking edges to facilitate assembly.

I made a second puzzle of this image the following day, puzzle #43, came in at 82 pieces.
