In this puzzle the unicorn was completely cut out per customer request.
As it happened (from my Journal archives).
May 8, 2002
9:06 pm - Put in a very long day today. Cleaned, packed, shipped #251, "Captive Unicorn" and #255 "Fish Ahoy!". Packed and shipped four consignment puzzles. All this took me into the late afternoon. Then I resumed work on Unicorn Fantasy and finished it about a half hour ago.
The Unicorn is completely color line cut, including the "island" piece form by the tail, and the "tufts" just above the hooves, to the rear of each leg. Will have piece count tomorrow.

10:16 pm - About 40% done with Unicorn Fantasy. Tomorrow morning I'll finish Unicorn Fantasy and will post picture when complete.
